John Ormond is one of the finest of a generation of Anglo-Welsh poets which includes Dannie Abse and Leslie Norris.

This long-awaited Selected Poems makes a thematic selection from his long career, influenced early by his friends Dylan Thomas and Vernon Watkins. Ormond soon found his own voice, however, writing poems of passion and precision. His work probes and questions complex areas of feeling, and celebrates the world of nature and art.
